About Groveride
We built Groveride because finding the right longboard shouldn't take three days
of research and still feel like a coin flip.
Jordan Ellis, former urban planning consultant based in Portland, spent five years
helping cities figure out how people move. When she tried to help her sister pick a
first board, she spent three days digging through spec sheets and brand comparisons
and came out more confused than when she started. A shop employee answered the
question in five minutes.
That gap is what Groveride fixes.
Every board we carry has been tested on real streets. We don't list everything —
just what we'd actually recommend. And every recommendation comes with a straight
answer: who it's for, who should look elsewhere, and what you'll want to upgrade to
when you're ready.
